Calvin O'Keefe is 17 years old, with blue eyes and hair in need of a cut. He's tall and gangly, still too skinny for his age. He's dressed up for December in New York, wearing jeans, sneakers, a sweatshirt, and a peacoat over it. He looks like your typical college student, though maybe slightly too young to be knee-deep in college chemistry classes.

Calvin is from the works by Madeline L'Engle, particularly A Wrinkle in Time and A Wind in the Door. He's coming into Tabula Rasa two years after the events of A Wind in the Door, about to get on the bus to go home for Christmas.

His inventory at the time of entrance is as follows:

-One battered blue duffle bag with a faded ‘Eagles Athletics’ logo on one side that contains all the items not specified as being carried/worn at time of entrance
-2 pairs of jeans (one pair being worn, one in the duffle bag)
-1 pair of old sneakers being worn at the time of the entrance, 1 pair of slightly less-battered dress shoes in his bag
-2 white button-up dress shirts and a blue necktie
-1 slightly ratty Cornell sweatshirt being worn at time of entrance
-1 pair of slightly too-short black dress pants
-4 pairs of socks (black, white, and grey)
-1 pea coat being worn at time of entrance (obviously more cared for and of better quality than the rest of the clothes)
-4 pairs of underwear
-1 gray t-shirt and 1 black one
-1 “History of Mathematics” hardcover book tucked into the bottom of his bag
-1 silver hourglass pedant on a thin chain around his neck at time of entrance
-1 undershirt being worn at time of entrance
-1 pair of blue athletic shorts with 1 old Eagles Athletics t-shirt
-1 advanced anatomy textbook, 1 organic chemistry textbook, 1 copy of “The Reivers”
-1 3-subject spiral notebook, halfway filled with writing
-1 ballpoint pen, in character’s pocket at time of entrance
-1 much-battered leather wallet containing $14, a Cornell student I.D., a New Hampshire drivers’ license, a school photo of Meg Murry, a bus ticket from Cornell to NH, a few old receipts, two library card. In his back pocket at the time of entrance.
-1 red scarf worn at time of entrance, 1 pair of gloves in his coat pockets
-1 wristwatch worn at time of entrance
-A keychain with three keys attached. In his jacket pocket at the time of entrance
